REGISTRATION NOW OPEN—
VIEWS: MY RISING
VIEWS: MY Rising is a FREE 11-week intensive public art and mural program designed to support and uplift Scarborough youth ages 14–29.
The 2025 edition will be hosted at the McGregor Park Community Centre, in the heart of Dorset Park neighbourhood in Scarborough.
Through weekly workshops led by community artists and peer mentors, youth participants will explore painting, design, cultural storytelling, and collaborative mural-making. Together, we’ll create a community-informed mural that reflects the identities, lived experiences, and voices of local youth—transforming a public wall into a lasting legacy of youth vision and leadership.
Throughout the program, youth participants will:
Learn professional mural techniques and artistic practices
Engage in community consultations and design conversations
Reflect on personal stories of space-making and youth role models
Paint a large-scale public mural with peers
Create individual canvas works to be featured in a final group exhibition
Build confidence, portfolios, and leadership through art
Are you passionate about visual storytelling, public art, and building something meaningful for and within your own community? This program is for you!
No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to show up, collaborate, and express yourself. Priority will be given to Scarborough youth!
Spots are limited! Register now and be part of something powerful!
