What does it truly take to build sustainable arts careers for young people in the GTA, particularly for racialized and equity-deserving youth? Next Generation Arts and Blueprint spent the first months of 2026 talking to over 200 racialized and equity-deserving young artists and arts workers across the GTA (ages 18–35) about what it's really like to build a career in the arts and culture sector. On March 28, we're launching the findings, and we invite you to be part of it.
This public event centres the presentation of key research findings and a panel discussion featuring youth artists and arts workers. Hear firsthand what young people are experiencing in the sector: where the barriers lie, and what needs to shift to build more equitable, sustainable pathways in the arts.
