Open Mic Night is part of a broader initiative called Community Days, co-presented by Next Generation Arts and youth collectives SLYE, L’Amoreaux Youth Council, and Empowering Young Women.

Community Days brings Scarborough youth together through a series of inclusive, youth-led, and youth-centered events that celebrate creativity, connection, and local culture. Events such as Paint Night, Open Mic Night, and Community Walk foster a sense of belonging by offering opportunities for artistic expression, neighbourhood exploration, and talent sharing. Held in welcoming community spaces like the Next Generation Arts Hub, local parks, and community spaces, Community Days showcase the power of collaboration and community spirit among Scarborough’s youth.

We acknowledge the support of Frontlines Toronto for funding this program.

Special thanks to Scarborough’s A Joke for co-presenting this event.
